When it comes to personal living spaces, Denise believes that
each of us has our own idea, or at least a feeling, about what
is appealing and comfortable - two basic elements that define a person's
style. In meeting with a client, Denise's objective is
to help clarify or interpret these ideas and then create a design plan
that beautifully conveys the homeowner's unique tastes and
personality. To ease any anxiety about making changes, she brings
real-life examples, 2- and 3-D computer renderings and photos to help
visualize the concepts. Then using the right combination of decorative
elements, observing the principles of symmetry and balance and creating
striking focal points, she proves each time that a room can be beautiful
and functional- a place her client can't wait to return to.
In
December 2005, Denise was a behind-the-scenes designer for an episode of
TLC's Trading Spaces which filmed in Winston-Salem and aired in March
2006.
In February 2008, Denise was awarded 1st place in Window Fashion Vision "Envision Design:
Designer's Debut" competition and photos of her work were published in the
May 2008 edition.
